Not sure what needs fixing? Start here.
Your branding, website and marketing might each look fine on their own. But are they working together? If enquiries feel slow, your message keeps changing or nobody is quite sure what to tackle next, I can help you work out where the gaps are.
I’m Clint at XDC.NZ. I bring creative direction and practical help to businesses in Christchurch, Rolleston, Selwyn and beyond. I can review what you already have, connect the dots with your team and step in to help get the work done.
You don’t need a perfect brief or a diagnosis. Start with what you’ve noticed, what you’re trying to achieve and what’s getting in the way.
Does any of this sound familiar?
- Your website gets visitors, but too few enquiries or sales.
- Your logo, social posts, website and printed material tell slightly different stories.
- You have good people helping, but the work between them feels disconnected.
- You have plenty of ideas and no clear order for getting them done.
- You need someone who can give advice and also roll up their sleeves.
Those are starting points for a conversation. We’ll look at the evidence before deciding what actually needs changing.
Four ways I can help
1. Review what’s happening
We start with your business goals and follow the path a customer takes: finding you, understanding your offer, building confidence and taking the next step. I look for gaps in your branding, website, content and marketing, alongside any useful information you already have.
The aim is to agree what matters first. That might mean a clearer message, a better enquiry path, more consistent material or a specialist review. Sometimes the best next step is to make better use of what you already have.
2. Connect your team and suppliers
Already have a designer, developer, marketing person or agency? I can work alongside them. I help translate business goals into a clear creative brief, connect the pieces and clarify who is doing what.
It’s the DUETEC approach in practice: people and skills working together around a shared direction. You keep the relationships that work and add support where there’s a gap.
3. Step in as practical extra hands
When you need help doing the work, I can contribute ideas, design, messaging, website content and marketing assets within an agreed scope. I can also help coordinate with the developer or specialist needed for a particular task.
That could be one focused improvement, support for a launch or ongoing creative input. We’ll agree priorities, responsibilities and scope before work starts.
4. Help you manage more yourself
If you prefer a hands-on role, I can help with direction, useful templates and guidance for your team. The aim is to make everyday decisions easier and keep your brand consistent as new work is created.
For example: a campaign gets attention, but few enquiries
Imagine a business posting regularly on social media. People click through, but the website page doesn’t match the offer, the benefits are hard to find and the enquiry button is buried.
More posting might not solve that. We could first connect the campaign message to the right landing page, make the offer clearer and simplify the next step. Then we can check whether more of those visits turn into useful enquiries.
This is an illustrative example. Your priorities depend on your business, your customers and what the evidence shows.
One connected view of your Brand Pillars
The six XDC Brand Pillars help us look at the whole picture and choose the skills a job needs:
- BP1 — Logo: a recognisable identity that fits your business.
- BP2 — Website: a clear, useful place for customers to understand your offer and act.
- BP3 — SEO: helping people find relevant information about your business.
- BP4 — Graphic Design: consistent material across print and digital.
- BP5 — Social Media Marketing: content and conversations that support your goals.
- BP6 — X-factor: creative ideas that give people a reason to notice and remember you.
You may need help with one pillar or with the connections between several. We’ll choose the work around the problem you want to solve.
